First, it doesn’t matter what day of the week you book your ticket. What matters is the days you choose to travel, the time of year, the airport location and how much of a layover you are willing to endure. I have seen dirt cheap flights that involve layovers as long as 36 hours, which is terrific if you want to get out of the airport and explore your layover city. The fastest flights are almost always more expensive.
