I have been a proponent of psyllium fiber for a long time. In fact, I use it every day in my lunch time smoothie. Most of us don’t get enough fiber in our diets, so sometimes a supplement, like psyllium, is helpful. It’s considered a soluble fiber and, for people with sensitive bowel conditions, it’s much less likely to cause any irritation. Some people use Metamucil (the type with psyllium), but I don’t like the orange flavor they add to it. I buy plain psyllium from Amazon.
