With the help of Google you can search anything that your heart desires.
When it comes to travel, I frequently use Google to search for articles about destinations, food, currency exchange rates, prices of flights and to translate foreign languages (as well as many other things).
I recently came across an article from Budget Travel which listed the “10 Most Googled Destinations of 2018.”
When I saw the title, I figured places like New York, Paris, Las Vegas and Hawaii had to be on the list.
Budget Travel reports that the 10 most Googled destinations are:
- Las Vegas
- Bora Bora
- New York
- New Orleans
I did pretty well with my guesses, three of my four picks made the top 10 list.
I’m a bit surprised to see that Hawaii didn’t make the cut while places like the Bahamas and Bora Bora did.
Later in the week we’ll be heading to Paris and yes I’ve been Googling the city quite a bit since I haven’t been there in close to 20 years! We’ll also be heading to the 10th most Googled destination in February. Barcelona is another place that I haven’t been to in almost 20 years!
Which cities did you expect to make the list which were left off? Which were a surprise to you?
