Travel Gear You Need: Charger Cables

I have a 8 inch long charger cord. Yes, 8 inches. And I use it to charge my phone from my laptop. Of course, I can’t actually use my phone unless I disconnect the cord, which kind of defeats the purpose of a charging cord.

I have spent a lot of money in the past on cheap charger cords. You know, the ones you see for 99 cents in the dollar store. The same ones that I almost always end up throwing out because, a) they don’t work, b) they are sooo slow, or c) they are not the right size for data transfers.

So, I finally broke down and bought expensive (well, to me they were) charger cords that are fast, transfer data, and they are 10 feet long. Yes, 10 feet! It never fails that the nearest outlet is more than 6 feet away from where you are, and a 10 foot cord solves that problem. Now, you can lie in bed wherever you are in the world, charge your phone and check your emails without getting up.
